Universal Handle - One Handle to Handle them all

Sketch of toothbrush with multiple heads
While watching Objectified there was a lot that stuck out to me. Particularly the concept that designers need to take into consideration the whole life cycle of the product, from design to manufacturing and all the way through to disposal as well. When IDEO was discussing the design of the toothbrush it blew my mind that it wasn't more common to have one handle with changeable heads. It is more common now with electric toothbrushes but why was that not standard long ago? It seem like a small thing that wouldn't really be that inconvenient but could save on so much waste.

While thinking about this idea it lead me to explore the idea of having one handle that can be used on many other tools. Utensils, makeup, screwdrivers and so on.

Working within Tinkercad and it's limitations was really tough, so it involved a lot of experiment as can seen with this fork.

Once I got the flow I decided add several different heads.

I also explored the idea a bit that different people could buy different handles that fit and work best for them.

I also thought that if the head was able to rotate you could get the prefect angle for each head's different uses.
